You are using a website and mobile application operated by {{LEGAL_ENTITY_NAME}}, organized under the laws of {{STATE_OF_INCORPORATION}} (referred to as “Start Strong,” “we,” or “us” in this agreement). By accessing or using the Start Strong website at https://www.letsstartstrong.com, the Start Strong Service, or any applications (including mobile applications) made available by Start Strong (together, the “Service”), however accessed, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions, which consist of:

The Service is owned or controlled by Start Strong. These Terms and Conditions affect your legal rights and obligations. If you do not agree to be bound by all of these Terms and Conditions, do not access or use the Service.

There may be times when we offer a special feature, program, or consultation that has its own terms and conditions in addition to these Terms. In those cases, the terms specific to the special feature shall apply to the extent there is a conflict with these Terms and Conditions.

Definitions

“Account” — a registered user account with Start Strong.
“Start Strong” — the application and platform owned and distributed by {{LEGAL_ENTITY_NAME}}.
“Start Strong Service” — the platform we provide where users can access fitness and nutrition content, journal, share content with one another, and connect with accountability partners.
“Start Strong Website” — https://www.letsstartstrong.com.
“Founders” — Mira and Monica, founders of Start Strong, who provide certain content and one-on-one consultations through the Service.
“Content” — any data, text, files, information, usernames, images, graphics, photos, profiles, links, and other content or materials.
“Programs” — the structured workout offerings within the Service (currently: Start Strong Together, Build, Transform, and ELITE).
“Software” — the application a user can install on a supported mobile device, or access via the Internet, in order to use the Service.
“Pre-order” — the App Store pre-order through which users may reserve the App for automatic download at launch.
“1:1 Consultation” — an individual coaching session with one or both of the Founders, scheduled through our third-party booking provider.

General Terms of Use

You must create an Account in order to use the Service once it is generally available. While Start Strong is in its pre-launch phase, you may pre-order the App on the Apple App Store or book a 1:1 Consultation with the Founders through our third-party booking provider.

In order to use the Service, you warrant that you are at least 17 years old, consistent with the App’s age rating, or have your parent’s or legal guardian’s permission. You also represent that you have the legal right and capacity to enter into these Terms and Conditions in your jurisdiction.

You must use the Start Strong Website and Service only in accordance with our Acceptable Use Policy.

You are responsible for any activity that occurs through your Account, and you agree you will not sell, transfer, license, or assign your Account, your username, or any Account rights.

With the exception of people or businesses expressly authorized to create Accounts on behalf of their employers or clients, Start Strong prohibits the creation of, and you agree that you will not create, an Account for anyone other than yourself. You also represent that all information you provide upon registration and at all other times will be true, accurate, current, and complete, and you agree to keep your information up to date.

You agree that you will not solicit, collect, or use the login credentials of other Start Strong users.

You are responsible for keeping your password secret and secure.

Any links shared by you on Start Strong are your responsibility, and we take no responsibility for any third-party links shared via the Service. If we determine that any third-party links you have posted do not comply with these Terms and Conditions, we may remove them and may suspend or remove your Account.

You must not defame, stalk, bully, abuse, harass, threaten, impersonate, or intimidate any person or entity, and you must not post private or confidential information via the Service. If we find you doing so, we may delete your Account and report the conduct to the relevant authorities.

You may not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.

You are solely responsible for your conduct and any Content that you submit, post, or display on or via the Service — including posts in the community feed, journal entries you choose to share, photos, comments, and accountability-partner messages.

You must not change, modify, adapt, or alter the Service, or change, modify, or alter another website so as to falsely imply that it is associated with the Service or with Start Strong.

You must not create or submit unwanted email, comments, likes, accountability-partner requests, or other forms of commercial or harassing communications (“spam”) to any Start Strong users.

Pre-orders & 1:1 Consultations

The Service is currently in a pre-launch phase. By pre-ordering the App on the Apple App Store, or by booking a 1:1 Consultation through our third-party booking provider, you acknowledge and agree that:

Pre-orders are placed through, and governed by, the Apple App Store. Apple, not Start Strong, is responsible for processing your pre-order, charging you (when applicable) on launch, and delivering the App to your device. We do not control launch timing on the App Store and do not guarantee any particular launch date.
We may limit, prioritize, or stage access to features of the App at our discretion, including by region, device, or rollout phase.
1:1 Consultations are scheduled, rescheduled, and cancelled through our third-party booking provider, which may set its own terms, cancellation windows, and refund rules. Availability is limited and may be paused (for example, during travel or events such as Miami Swim Week) without notice.
Any pre-launch promise, beta access, or early-access offer may be modified or withdrawn before the App is launched.
If you contact us directly with your email, we may use it to respond to you and to send launch news and related communications. You may unsubscribe at any time by emailing startstrong@letsstartstrong.com.

Rights and Ownership

Start Strong does not claim ownership of any Content that you post on or through the Service. Instead, you hereby grant Start Strong a non-exclusive, fully paid and royalty-free, transferable, sub-licensable, worldwide license to use, host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute the Content that you post on or through the Service, subject to our Privacy Policy, for the purpose of operating, providing, and promoting the Service.

You acknowledge that we may not always identify paid services, sponsored content, or commercial communications as such.

You represent and warrant that:

You own the Content posted by you on or through the Service or otherwise have the right to grant the rights and licenses set forth in these Terms and Conditions;
The posting and use of your Content on or through the Service does not violate, misappropriate, or infringe on the rights of any third party — including, without limitation, privacy rights, publicity rights, copyrights, trademark, and other intellectual property rights;
You agree to pay for all royalties, fees, and any other monies owed by reason of Content you post on or through the Service; and
You have the legal right and capacity to enter into these Terms and Conditions in your jurisdiction.

The Service contains Content owned or licensed by Start Strong (“Start Strong Content”), including the Programs, recipes, meal plans, written guidance, photographs and videos of the Founders, and the design and structure of the Site and App. Start Strong Content is protected by copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other laws, and, as between you and Start Strong, Start Strong owns and retains all rights in the Start Strong Content and the Service. You will not remove, alter, or conceal any copyright, trademark, service mark, or other proprietary rights notices incorporated in or accompanying the Start Strong Content, and you will not reproduce, modify, adapt, prepare derivative works based on, perform, display, publish, distribute, transmit, broadcast, sell, license, or otherwise exploit the Start Strong Content.

The Start Strong name, “Start strong. Finish stronger.” tagline, and Start Strong logo are trademarks of {{LEGAL_ENTITY_NAME}}, and may not be copied, imitated, or used, in whole or in part, without our prior written permission. In addition, all page headers, custom graphics, button icons, and scripts are service marks, trademarks, and/or trade dress of Start Strong, and may not be copied, imitated, or used, in whole or in part, without prior written permission from Start Strong.

You agree that Start Strong is not responsible for, and does not endorse or monitor, any third-party Content posted within the Service. Start Strong does not have any obligation to pre-screen, monitor, edit, or remove any third-party Content. If your Content violates these Terms and Conditions, you may bear legal responsibility for that Content.

Third-Party Integrations

The Service may allow you to connect to third-party platforms and devices, including but not limited to Apple Health, Dexcom (continuous glucose monitor), and Omnipod (insulin pump), and to external scheduling providers used to book consultations. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. You are responsible for the accuracy of any information you authorize those services to share with Start Strong. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, security, or practices of third-party services.

Founder Consultations

Where Start Strong offers one-on-one consultations with Mira and/or Monica, you agree that:

The consultation is for general fitness coaching, nutrition guidance, and motivational support — not a medical, therapeutic, diagnostic, or psychological service.
Scheduling, cancellation, rescheduling, and refund policies for consultations are governed by the third-party booking and payment provider used at the time of booking.
You will provide accurate information when booking.
The Founders may decline or reschedule a consultation in their reasonable discretion.

Subscriptions

Start Strong does not currently offer paid subscriptions, and the App is currently free at launch. If we introduce paid subscriptions or in-app purchases in the future, those features will be governed by additional terms presented to you at the time of purchase, and where purchases are made through the Apple App Store, by Apple’s terms. Any future subscription terms will address billing, free trials, promotions, cancellations, and refunds.

If we introduce in-app purchases through the Apple App Store, you consent to our sharing of data regarding your usage and consumption of purchased content with Apple as part of our efforts to resolve refund requests, in compliance with Apple’s policies.

Health Disclaimer

Start Strong provides general fitness and wellness content. It is not medical advice. Consult your physician, and if applicable your endocrinologist, before starting any exercise or nutrition program.

The Start Strong App is designed to support you across fitness, nutrition, community, and personal accountability. By using the Service, you may have access to resistance-training Programs, cardio and conditioning sessions, mobility and recovery content, recipes, and meal-plan guidance, all designed by the Founders or by qualified professionals working with them. However, any fitness, nutrition, or wellness information provided in our Service or through any of our official social-media channels should not be taken as medical advice.

The Founders are fitness professionals, not medical doctors. Start Strong does not hold medical qualifications and cannot diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. All Content is provided for general informational and educational purposes only and does not substitute for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment from a qualified healthcare provider.

Before using the Service, we recommend you consult your physician — and, if applicable, your endocrinologist, registered dietitian, or other qualified healthcare professional — to confirm your ability to start any nutrition or workout Program, especially if you have or are at risk (including by family history) of any condition such as heart disease, high cholesterol, obesity, high blood pressure, chest pain, joint or bone problems, eating disorders, diabetes, or any other medical condition.

If you feel dizzy, faint, experience shortness of breath, sharp pain, or any other concerning symptom during one of Start Strong’s exercises or Programs, you should immediately stop and consult your doctor.

You acknowledge the inherent risks of physical activity and agree to be solely liable for any physical injury, condition, or outcome that may occur in connection with your use of the Service, any Program, or any Content.

The nutritional information shown in our recipes and meal plans is provided for general educational purposes; you are responsible for confirming the suitability of any recipe or food for your dietary, allergen, or medical needs.

Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) Features and Connected Health Devices

By using any Type 1 Diabetes feature or connected-device integration provided by Start Strong — including but not limited to insulin estimates displayed in the Recipe detail screen, the Type 1 Companion card on the Nutrition tab, and integrations with Dexcom and Omnipod — you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree to these provisions, you must refrain from using these features.

Acknowledgment of Risk and Responsibility. You acknowledge that any use of these features is entirely at your own risk. Diabetes management is highly individual, and exercise, nutrition, stress, sleep, and other factors can significantly affect blood glucose. It is your responsibility to use caution, monitor your own glucose and overall health, and seek professional medical advice if you are uncertain about any aspect of your health, fitness, or diabetes management.
Insulin Estimates Are Educational Only. Where the App displays a rough insulin estimate based on a recipe’s carbohydrate content, that estimate is calculated using a generic 1u : 10g carbohydrate ratio and is provided for educational reference only. It is not a personalized dose recommendation, not medical advice, and not a substitute for instruction from your endocrinologist or care team. You must always confirm any dosing decision with your healthcare provider. Start Strong is not a medical device and does not provide clinical interpretation of your data.
Connected Devices. Data displayed from connected devices (such as Dexcom or Omnipod) and from Apple Health is shown to you for informational purposes. We do not analyze, calibrate, or replace your device’s own readings or alerts. You should continue to rely on your device’s manufacturer guidance, your CGM alerts, and your care team’s instructions.
No Warranty of Suitability. Start Strong makes no guarantees or representations that any particular fitness, nutrition, or T1D-related feature is suitable, safe, or appropriate for you. Start Strong is not able to assess your personal medical suitability for any Program or feature. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Start Strong, its founders, employees, affiliates, and partners from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or costs (including legal fees) that arise in connection with: (i) your participation in any Program; (ii) your use of any T1D feature or connected device; or (iii) any breach of these Terms and Conditions by you.
Accuracy of Information. You confirm that all information you provide to Start Strong in relation to your use of T1D and health features — including any indication that you have consulted your care team — is accurate. We rely on this information to provide the features you have enabled.
Your Responsibility for Safety. You are solely responsible for your own safety while using the Service. You agree not to exceed the exercise level recommended by your physician or healthcare provider. If you experience any concerning symptom during or after using a Program — including dizziness, sharp pain, shortness of breath, fainting, hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia, or any other symptom previously flagged by your healthcare provider — you agree to stop exercising immediately, treat as advised by your care team, and seek medical attention as appropriate.

By enabling any T1D or connected health feature in the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms and agree to comply with them.

Results Disclaimer

While we give you the tools to incorporate fitness, nutrition, and community into your lifestyle, there is no guarantee that you will receive any particular result. Start Strong is built around a “feeling” — vitality, confidence, and consistency — not a particular body shape or look. You accept that outcomes differ from one individual to another. Any testimonials, photos, or stories shared on our Service or social platforms are approved by verified Start Strong members or by the Founders themselves, but they are not intended to guarantee that any other individual will achieve the same outcome.

Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the terms between you and us under which you may access the Service. It applies to all users of, and visitors to, the Service.

Your use of the Service means that you accept, and agree to abide by, all the policies in this Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of our Terms and Conditions.

Prohibited Uses

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not use the Service:

In any way that breaches any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation;
In any way that is unlawful or fraudulent, or has any unlawful or fraudulent purpose or effect;
For the purpose of harming, exploiting, or attempting to harm minors in any way;
To send, knowingly receive, upload, download, use, or re-use any material which does not comply with our Content Standards below;
To transmit, or procure the sending of, any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising or promotional material, or any other form of similar solicitation (spam);
To knowingly transmit any data, send, or upload any material that contains viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time-bombs, keystroke loggers, spyware, adware, or any other harmful programs or similar computer code designed to adversely affect the operation of any computer software or hardware.

You also agree:

Not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, scrape, or re-sell any part of the Service in contravention of the provisions of our General Terms of Use;
Not to access without authority, interfere with, damage, or disrupt: any part of the Service; any equipment or network on which the Service is stored; any software used in the provision of the Service; or any equipment, network, or software owned or used by any third party;
Not to use the Service or any data obtained from it to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any artificial intelligence or machine-learning model, or for any text/data-mining purpose, without our prior written consent;
Not to abuse, harass, or threaten Start Strong staff, the Founders, or other users through emails, in-App messages, accountability-partner channels, or social media. Any form of abuse will result in your Account being suspended or permanently removed.

We will provide clear information about the kind of service offered, whether and how it is moderated, and what form of moderation is used.

We will assess possible risks for users (and in particular, for younger users) from third parties when they use any interactive feature of the Service. However, we are under no obligation to oversee, monitor, or moderate any interactive service, and we expressly exclude liability for any loss or damage arising from the use of any interactive service by a user in contravention of our Content Standards, whether the service is moderated or not.

Content Standards

These content standards apply to any and all material that you contribute to the Service (“contributions”), including community posts, comments, photos, journal entries you choose to share, and accountability-partner messages, and to any interactive services associated with them. You must comply with the spirit and the letter of the following standards. The standards apply to each part of any contribution as well as to the contribution as a whole.

Contributions must:

Be accurate (where they state facts);
Be genuinely held (where they state opinions);
Comply with applicable law in the jurisdiction from which they are posted.

Contributions must not:

Contain any material that is defamatory of any person;
Contain any material that is obscene, offensive, hateful, or inflammatory;
Promote sexually explicit material;
Promote violence or self-harm;
Promote eating disorders, “weight-loss” extremism, unsafe fasting, dangerous diets, or any other practice that endangers health;
Promote discrimination based on race, sex, gender identity, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age;
Infringe any copyright, database right, or trademark of any other person;
Be likely to deceive any person;
Be made in breach of any legal duty owed to a third party, such as a contractual duty or a duty of confidence;
Promote any illegal activity;
Be threatening, abusive, or invasive of another’s privacy, or cause annoyance, inconvenience, or needless anxiety;
Be likely to harass, upset, embarrass, alarm, or annoy any other person;
Be used to impersonate any person — including the Founders — or to misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person;
Give the impression that they emanate from us, if this is not the case;
Advocate, promote, or assist any unlawful act, such as (by way of example only) copyright infringement or computer misuse;
Provide medical, dosing, or treatment advice to other users in a way that could mislead them into bypassing professional medical care.

Suspension and Termination

We will determine, in our discretion, whether there has been a breach of this Acceptable Use Policy or any other part of these Terms and Conditions through your use of the Service. When a breach has occurred, we may take such action as we deem appropriate.

Failure to comply with this Acceptable Use Policy constitutes a material breach of these Terms and Conditions, and may result in our taking all or any of the following actions:

Immediate, temporary, or permanent withdrawal of your right to use the Service;
Immediate, temporary, or permanent removal of any contribution uploaded by you to the Service;
Issue of a warning to you;
Legal proceedings against you for reimbursement of all costs on an indemnity basis (including, but not limited to, reasonable administrative and legal costs) resulting from the breach;
Further legal action against you;
Disclosure of such information to law-enforcement authorities as we reasonably feel is necessary.

We exclude liability for actions taken in response to breaches of this Acceptable Use Policy. The responses described in this policy are not limited, and we may take any other action we reasonably deem appropriate.

You may stop using the Service and delete your Account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will survive.

Start Strong strives to maintain continuous access to the Service. However, Start Strong reserves the right to terminate, suspend, or modify the Service, or any feature of it, with or without notice, where reasonably necessary — including for technical, security, business, regulatory, or compliance reasons. Where we discontinue the Service entirely, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to provide notice to active users.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your expectations or produce any specific health, fitness, nutrition, or wellness outcome.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Start Strong, the Founders, or our officers, employees, contractors, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, loss of data, personal injury, or emotional stress — arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100) or the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Start Strong and its founders, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any law or third-party right; or (d) any Content you post.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of {{STATE_OF_INCORPORATION}}, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in {{VENUE_COUNTY_STATE}}, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, nothing in this section deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms and Conditions at any time by amending this page. You are expected to check this page from time to time to take notice of any changes, as they are legally binding on you. Where we make material changes, we will update the “Effective date” above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in-App. Some provisions in these Terms and Conditions may also be superseded by provisions or notices published elsewhere in the Service.
